Renewable Energy and Transmission Facility Siting
Siting policies can impact how easy (or difficult) it is to develop and build renewable energy and transmission facilities in a state, and how expensive it is to decommission or upgrade them after their useful life. These policies are often designed to look benign while intentionally making renewable energy or transmission projects harder to develop. As the linchpins for achieving corporate and gridwide decarbonization targets, the efficient siting of renewable energy and transmission projects is imperative.
